South Toowoomba Community Garden

Social Gardening times occur regularly and other organised activities including social lunches and harvest days are held throughout the year.

Harvest Days are an open day for the garden with activities, sausage sizzles, devonshire tea and produce for sale, all of which raise money to fund the running of the garden.

We would love to see you at our next Harvest day

Welcome to the South Toowoomba community garden. Our garden is located on the grounds of the South Toowoomba Presbyterian Church and includes individual garden beds as well as a shared herb garden and fruit trees.

Our gardeners each have their own individual plot. They also have access to citrus trees, a herb garden, composting facilities and a storage shed containing all the necessary garden tools.Relationships are important to us and to facilitate this we have social gardening times.

Non-members are welcome to share in the harvest from our herb garden and our ‘community bed’ which is a raised garden bed (bed #11) set aside for everyone to enjoy. Our garden also includes a community seed library which is located in the community library on the fence. Please make use of this seed bank; you are welcome to take seeds from it, or add some more seeds for someone else to enjoy.

Our garden members are required to adhere to our Community Garden Agreement and a 6-monthly membership fee of $5 is payable in February and August of each year.

Please contact us if you are interested in finding out more about our garden, having your own garden bed or being involved in our social events throughout the year.
